Spotlight is an essential tool for accountants offering advisory services. The following settings will help you add your own branding and colours to the reports you produce to maximise your brand to clients!
Once you’ve uploaded a logo, you can use it on the cover page of each Spotlight Reporting, Forecasting, Dashboard (Resilience and Performance layouts) and Multi report you produce.
If you’d like to use a different logo for any organisation (e.g. for a client’s organisation) - head into organisation settings.
The options to change the colours for the practice are now available in the Appearance tab - for further information on these and the other cover page options, please refer to our Customising Report Covers article.
Each Spotlight Product has a default report title - further instructions below. Simply select the text box and replace the existing text. Remember to ‘save’ any changes you make.
Spotlight Reporting appears on the cover page of the Spotlight Reporting report. It also features on the top of each page within the report.
Spotlight Forecasting appears on the cover page of the Spotlight Forecasting report. It also features on the top of each page within the report.
Spotlight Dashboards There are 3 default layouts in the Dashboard product. This default relates to the Classic dashboard only. The default will appear on the first tile of the classic layout and cannot be edited on a per report basis. The resilience and performance layout titles can be amended on a per report basis.
Spotlight Multi appears on the cover page of the Spotlight Multi report. It also features on the top of each page within the report.
The report footer appears on the bottom of each page within a report (excluding Spotlight Dashboards). This is a great area to add a disclaimer or your contact details.
Changing the colours within the report graphs allows you to further align each report with your practice.
The chart narration is a great tool to leave an explanation, or set of tips to help your clients understand each graph on their report. The narration appears under each graph.
