Customising Report Covers

You can use the Report Cover option in Spotlight to personalise the report cover with your company's brand.

Note: To access and change the report cover settings, you must have the Practice Admin user role.

To change the report cover settings


Note:
When you change the report cover settings, this applies to all organisations in your practice.

  1. From the main Spotlight screen, open the Practice Settings menu then choose Appearance.
  2. Select the required template.
  3. Make any required changes to the settings available, then click Apply.


The templates available


There are three templates available to use for your report cover:

  • Standard background - This layout includes a basic background image, the report title/date banner and the selected logos.  
  • Custom background - With this layout, you can upload your own image to use as a background for the report cover. The layout also includes the report title/date banner and the selected logos.
  • No background - This layout has no background image and only includes the report title/date banner and the selected logos.

    Note: This is the previous format used for the cover page.

The settings available

Note: When you change the report cover settings, this applies to all organisations in your practice.

 

Setting Options
Primary logo You can use this setting to select which logo appears in the primary logo position on the left-hand side of the cover page.

None - Use no logo in the primary logo position.
Practice logo - Use the practice logo in the primary logo position. You can upload a practice logo from the General tab.
Organisation logo - Use the organisation logo in the primary logo position. You can upload an organisation logo from the Organisation Settings option.
Auto - Use the organisation logo in the primary logo position and the practice logo in the secondary logo position. If there isn’t an organisation logo, the practice logo will move to the primary logo position.
Secondary logo You can use this setting to select which logo appears in the secondary logo position at the bottom right-hand corner of the cover page.

None - Use no logo in the secondary logo position.
Practice logo - Use the practice logo in the secondary logo position. You can upload a practice logo from the General tab.
Organisation logo - Use the organisation logo in the secondary logo position. You can upload an organisation logo from the Organisation Settings option.
Title Banner Note: This option is only available when using the Custom background template.

Show - This option includes a white banner behind the title and report date on the report.
Hide - This option hides the white banner behind the title and report date on the report, so that the text is overlaid directly onto the background image.
Primary colour This colour is used for the organisation name. You can choose a colour from the colour picker, or alternatively enter the hex code for the colour you want to use.
Secondary colour This colour is used for the report title. You can choose a colour from the colour picker, or alternatively enter the hex code for the colour you want to use.
Background colour Note: This option is only available when using the Standard background template.

This colour is used for background image on the page. You can choose a colour from the colour picker, or alternatively enter the hex code for the colour you want to use.
Background image Note: This option is only available when using the Custom background template.

You can drag and drop an image into the window to include it as a background for your page, or alternatively browse in an image. The image must be in JPG or PNG format.
