Navigating the Dashboard

The dashboard is your central location for managing your account, organisations and users in Spotlight. Each Spotlight product has its own dashboard showing a list of the organisations you’ve set up in the product.

Spotlight product tabs

Spotlight has five different products: Reports, Forecasts, Dashboards, Multi, and Sustain. Only the products you're currently subscribed to will appear on your dashboard.

To access a product, click the relevant tab.  For example, to move into Spotlight Forecasting click Forecasts.

Note: If you want to subscribe to or trial another product, please go to Settings > Billing.

Help


You can use the Help link to access our support guides and videos, and to raise a query with the support team.

  • Help Centre - The Help Centre includes helpful guides, step-by-step instructions and answers to the most popular questions.
  • Raise Support Query - If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, you can raise a support query and the helpful support team will be in touch within 24 hours (although you can expect a much quicker answer). We have an around-the-clock team ready to help you get back on track - we even work weekends!
  • Transform in Action - If you have access to our Transform in Action as part of your package, or if you'd like to sign up, you can find details here.
  • Spotlight Certification - Sign up to our certification platform to learn more about Spotlight and formalise your knowledge.
  • Other Resources - Access our other resources, including webinars, sample reports and podcasts.

Practice Settings

The main Practice Settings option contains your overall account settings. For further information, please refer to our account settings article.

Search bar

You can use the global search bar to search for and quickly access organisations across all products. You can also filterby location or internal ID.

Filter entities

You can use this option to quickly filter your list of entities based on letters or keywords. Simply start typing, and the list will filter to show only entities that match your filter.

Sort entities

You can use the Sort by option to sort the entities within your group. There are several options available:

  • Name (A - Z)
  • Name (Z - A)
  • Activity (newest first)
  • Activity (oldest first)
  • Latest report (newest first)
  • Latest report (oldest first)

Manage entities

Settings

You can use this option to work with settings specific to the entity or group. For further information, please refer to the Organisation Settings article.

Manage Users

You can use this option to add or remove a user’s access to the entity or group. For further information about working with and creating users, please refer to the Users article.

Invite Customer Care

You can use this option to give access to your organisation to our Support team, which can help answer any queries you may have.


Pin to top of list

This option pins the entity to the top of the list, so that you can find the entities you use most often without the need to scroll.

Note: This option is available for individual entities only.

Add Entity

Add another entity to this group.

Note: As you can customise the label of the entity when you create the organisation, the name of this link can vary.  It will appear as Associate, Branch, Franchisee, Investment, Subsidiary, or with a custom name.

Latest Report

This column contains the date of the most recent report. To access the report, click the arrow to the right of the date, then choose Edit.

Note: You can find earlier reports in the Report History tab within the group Settings option.

Latest Activity

This shows the last date of activity in this organisation and the user who made the changes.

Create new report

You can use ths option to create a new report for the most recent completed month. If you need to create a report for an earlier month, you can change the date of the report from the Customise Layout tab afterward.

Report actions

From the drop-down alongside the latest report, you can find shortcuts to create, share or download the report for the organisation.

Edit

Open the latest report to make changes.

Preview

Preview the current report, without making any changes.

Export to PDF

Download the current report as a PDF.

Send by email

Email the report directly from within Spotlight Multi.

View all reports

Open the Report History to see all reports created for the organisation.

Return to dashboard

To return to the main dashboard from any area in the product, click on the Spotlight logo.
