The link between Karbon and Spotlight Reporting operates differently to the data sources you use within your report. While the other data sources contribute data to the report itself, the Karbon integration is intended to help you take your finalised Spotlight report into your Karbon work items so that this is stored as a document. This means that Karbon does not appear as a separate data source. To be able to use the integration, please follow the steps in our setup article.
As the Integrations option can affect all organisations in your Spotlight account, to be able to add the integration you must be logged in as an Admin user. If your login does not have the Admin user role, the options will not appear. Please check with an Admin user regarding amending your user role, or to request that they set up the integration for you.

This message is normal when you first add the connection. There will be a short delay while the connection is prepared, and you can click into the task to view the progress on this. Once the connection is ready, the message 'Spotlight Reporting (API Integration) added an Integration Message' will appear. Once this appears, you can continue to create your report.
